History
During the war and allied occupation, our grandparents, Theresia and Johann Egger, ran "Gasthof Pension zur Post", which they leased from the Zeller Bräu brewery. Many legends swirl around the "Alte Post", telling of boisterous balls, a creaking veranda, occupying troops, love and also great suffering. In those days, the Post stood inside the community of Zellbergeben, but was forced to move with the advent of a new bridge over the Ziller in 1969.
It was in this year that Gasthof Neue Post was built, taken over by Hans Egger Jr. in 1979, which he and his wife, Luise, grew into what would become the Hotel Neue Post.
